What did I like, everything. From the moment of arrival, the entrance is very welcoming, there is a reception area which doubles as a cafe where you can relax and have something to drink or eat. There's an ambience of tranquility I wasn't expecting and when I was shown my room I knew I'd make the right choice. My room was closest to the reception with the pool a few metres away. The room itself was huge, spotlessly clean and well furnished. The bathroom was no different. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept great. Breakfast was amazing, buffet style, with plenty to choose from. They also serve lunch as the location is also popular with locals. I chose the green curry with rice and it was incredible. The guesthouse itself is centrally located with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within a very short walk. The Foresto Sukhothai Guesthome exceeded my expectations, a piece of paradise not expected. The pool was lovely, well maintained and the surrounding area well kept, clean and very relaxing. A special mention to 'Sun' my host and his family who help run the guesthouse, they are wonderful people and very helpful. Should you be travelling to Sukhothai and want something special then this is the place. Recommended with love.

The garden feels so beautiful at night and during the day all the trees give plenty of shade so it's a bit cooler even on hot days. There were patches of sun to sunbather at the pool but again lots of shade to cool down in. The pool is kept running and lit up until the evening so you can sit and paddle a bit before showering for bed. Plenty of fresh towels by the pool too ☺️. Communal breakfast area is beautiful and full of character. There's a huge choice on a menu for breakfast and a small buffet of sweet food. The coffee was amazing hot frothy milk and a proper coffee pot so you could make the coffee exactly as you like it. The host and family was lovely and helped us find the right bus to go North when we'd accidentally booked for a stop to far away. We kept the door closed and room clean of food and didn't see a single bug as a result. We knew from some of the other reviews that there are some aesthetic issues like cracks in the path but it didn't take away from how lovely this place was and anything near the pool was covered with mats so to keep it safe. In fact the area was swept every morning to clear the path of falling leaves so it felt fine.

We stayed for 5 nights and we must say, this was one of the hidden gems of our trip to Thailand. The gardens are peaceful and well-kept, offering an oasis from the bustle of New Sukhothai. The room was clean and roomy with a lovely outdoor seated area where we could order food and drinks from the kitchen. The pool was a pleasant temperature to cool down when it got too hot and all the staff were exceptionally friendly, accommodating and flexible. Some people might have a few minor quibbles with the bathroom - there was only hot water available from one of the two shower heads and the tap in the handwash basin was a little loose. Compared to the typical standards in Thailand at this price point however, most aspects of the room exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is about 15 minutes drive from the historic park, but don't let the location put you off a stay here - a taxi with the Grab app to the old town only cost around 120 Baht. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here if you want affordable, relaxing and comfortable stay in Sukhothai with exceptional service.

The rooms are set in a lovely garden with lots of greenery, very Zen. The owner is very helpful, he speaks excellent English. He took us to airport on our last day (800 baht). The town is an hours drive from rail station and airport in Phitsanulok. We arrived by train, couldn’t get on “fast” train so took local train, only 3rd class and no ac. Our journey was 7.5 hours. The train was in fact quite comfortable with all windows and some of the doors wide open. We didn’t want another long train trip so took short flight back to Bangkok at end of our stay. We did a great half day tour of the historic sight. Most tours involve biking around but one of our party is non cyclist so they adapted the tour.

The owner was exceptionally helpful. He even brought a cart to carry our luggage at check-in and checkout. The greenery in the hotel area completely justified the name Foresto. Buffet breakfast was quite good. Many items were available. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious. Beds were comfortable. Even though the building is relatively old, everything worked properly. Storage racks and furniture in the bedroom were surprisingly ample. There was even a sofa with a coffee table in the bedroom. The terrace outside the room had a table and chairs. These facilities are rarely available except in very high-priced hotels. In short, excellent value for money.
